Jim Nickless

James Kenneth Nickless studied journalism at Texas Western College (now UT-El Paso). He always felt he could tell a story better with pictures than with words and while at TWC, he photographed for The Prospector. In 1957 he won first place in sports and news photography from TIPA. He worked at NBC News in Mexico City, London, Washington and Miami. He also worked for BBC and FOX Sports during his career. He covered numerous national and international leaders and personalities around the world and also covered the US war involvement in Kuwait.
Jack Tinsley
Sam Houston State University
Jack Tinsley, former executive editor of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, studied journalism at Sam Houston State University. He started at the Star-Telegram in 1959 and covered the JFK assassination and the killing of three civil rights workers in Mississippi. He led the Star-Telegram to two Pulitzer Prizes in the 1980s.
