Competition Comment: Judging overall excellence is difficult, but I looked at publications with an eye toward covering their community with consistency, but also fearlessness. Campus communities do not exist in a vacuum and what happens outside campus affects life on campus. The finalists not only covered their communities, but went deeper to provide their readers much-needed context to be informed. Kudos to all the entrants, and congratulations to the winners!
