- Competition Comment: This category had a large number of entries, most of them photo galleries. Overall, many of the submissions suffered from weak editing. Images were often repetitive, with similar photos shown again and again, and many galleries lacked creative storytelling. In most cases, ten to twelve strong, well-shot and carefully cropped images would have been far more effective than 25 weaker ones.
The entries that stood out were thoughtfully and skillfully executed by the photographer(s). They recognized the story’s potential and approached it creatively, capturing moments and details in addition to wider scene-setting images.. The strongest galleries featured images that were well cropped, properly toned, and carefully edited, then arranged with clear intent—either on a well-designed print page or presented orderly in a slideshow.
