Competition Comment: If you speak in first person, that means you created a column — not a feature. Do not speak in first person if you are putting together a feature. A feature is about a person, place, thing, event or moment. It is not about you. As well, you need to open it up by creating a scene. You need to have the reader feel as if they are there experiencing something important and personal.
