Judge Comment: This site has an extremely well-thought out responsive design that still is easy to navigate when it transitions from desktop to mobile. Strong visuals on stories, paired and in-depth cutline attributions, help support their stories. Site menu navigation isn't overwhelming and is sticky on desktop view, which is nice. I also appreciate this team's effort to include accountability measures with a corrections submission form in a module on the homepage. (One recommendation I would make is to ensure links that don't originate within your site open in a new window.)

Judge Comment: The first thing that immediately caught my eye on this site's homepage are the story images--the framing, the clarity and brightness are striking. The story pages are structured nicely with subheads, but included samples felt a little plain with only a lead photo and no additional photos or story supplements like video or social embeds. Also, when transitioning to mobile from desktop, the site becomes plain which is jarring from how visually stunning the desktop experience is.
