- Competition Comment: The wide array of approaches to the concept of "What makes a magazine?" made this an exceptionally competitive category and a very difficult set of choices. In any given moment, each publication in this competition distinguished itself from all the others in an important and valuable way. They all provided some form of value and engagement for their readers, which is truly the point of student publications like these. The differences and distinctions among those who placed and those who didn't was quite thin. It really was a very tough call to select the winning group.
