Judge Comment: I love this page. Q&As can be tricky, but the designer here took full advantage of all resources. Photo selection and placement is strong, use of large Q and A letters guides the reader along, and the overall page is pleasant to look at. I especially love the "On Deck element at the top. My only nit-pick on this page is that the word "sports" appears twice at the top of the page, and the page number feels like it's in a weird spot. Overall, well done!

Judge Comment: It's easy to overdo it with graphics, but I don't think that's what has happened here. I enjoyed this page's use of graphical elements, color, and headlines. Photo selection and layout is strong, and the page feels balanced. Well done!

Judge Comment: Despite my personal opinion that eSports are not sports (hehe), this is a good example of a well-done, basic sports page. No frills, but quality. Layout of stories and photos is good, wilt most important stories and headlines at top and good flow to the reader's eye. Great work!

Judge Comment: I like this page. I really do. The use of photos, subheads and visual hierarchy is exactly what we want to see. But I simply can't place this page because of glaring mistake in a mid-page headline. Should be: "Baseball rounds out its regular season" - not "it's". This might seem trivial, but mistakes like these will ruin your credibility faster than almost anything else! Details matter! But overall, good job on this page.
  • Competition Comment: great work from all!
