  • Place Name: Honorable Mention
    Contestant Name: Amarillo College
    Entry Title: Drag as Art
    Entry Credit: Lance Hooper
Judge Comment: The Amarillo College community that was faced with intentional discrimination deserves better than what was experienced. All students nationwide at any institution should be allowed proper demonstration of their individuality. Stories of this nature matter, and should receive continuing coverage.
  • Competition Comment: This competition was difficult to judge as so many stories were told. My advice to all is as follows, the story matters, ensure it has a beginning, a middle and an end. Plus, always remember aspect ratio, tripod balancing, use of audio, lighting and shadows, picture composition, and shot duration. Lastly, if you are speaking about it, we hope to be seeing it too. Continue your coverage and always challenge yourself and the narrative.
