Entry Title: Baylor Roundup 2022: A New Perspective

Judge Comment: Bold graphic style goes beyond the usual yearbook, with savvy use of color and fonts, plus innovations such as the chart showing what each colored graduation cap tassel signifies.
  • Place Name: Second Place
    Contestant Name: A&M-College Station
Entry Title: Aggieland: Our Common Bond
    Entry Credit: Aggieland Staff
Judge Comment: Highly polished, almost corporate, with eye-catching graphic elements, numbered lists, call-out quotes, type super-imposed on top of photos, savvy use of color.
  • Place Name: Third Place
Contestant Name: TCU Horned Frog Yearbook
    Entry Title: Parallel
    Entry Credit: Staff
Judge Comment: Pleasing format, combining large photos vs stacked smaller photos, as well as a judicious balance of photos vs text, feels comfortable and reliable, and makes the info easy to process. Nice deployment of TCU’s signature purple, but also the retro-modern colors and unifying parallel bars motif.
  • Place Name: Honorable Mention
    Contestant Name: UT-Austin
    Entry Title: Cactus Yearbook
Entry Credit: Tara Phipps, Chloe Jaimes, Grace Sajjarotjana
Judge Comment: Wonderfully uber-creative often whimsical design elements include illustrations, outlines, headlines that are sometimes deliberately / appealingly ragged, and drop shadows.
