Competition Comment: This was a tough one for me between first and second place. But, what really set first place apart was the fact they cropped their frame to the moment and every inch of the frame helped tell the story and lead me to the main character in the frame. Second place place was a great feature photo and with some slight tweaks would be stellar. Third and HM were both somber moment that could have used crops. Overall, I would ask entrants to review how they write their captions to be in "active" voice (even if the run date is later on) and to look at cleaning up backgrounds in their images where they can.
