Judge Comment: Overall it was a solid PKG. Since this seemed like a fun and vibrant event, I would have loved to hear some of the music as NATS more, I would have loved for you to set the scene and describe the event to people who aren't there and use that to write to the video you shot. I liked how you explained what the event was and the significance of it. Be careful on some of your shots, they were a little shaky or blurry at the beginning.

Judge Comment: This was a solid PKG and constructed well. Good use of b-roll and your interviews looked nice. A few suggestions: it sounded like one of your reporter tracks clipped toward the beginning of the PKG so just be careful of that when you edit. Also, try and focus on bringing the pitch of your voice down in your standups and your track. As someone who struggled with that for years, it's a small thing that can make a big difference in your presentation.

Judge Comment: This was a solid PKG and put together nicely. My biggest suggestion would be to check your mic. It sounded like there was a lot of static/nat sound on the mic (or even as if you were using the nat mic.) If you are using a camera just check the channels, if you are using an Iphone, I would recommend getting a cheap mic you can plug into it.
  • Place Name: Honorable Mention

    Entry Title: Drink Drank Drunk

Judge Comment: There were elements I liked in this PKG, such as the text on the screen. That was something that made it feel more interactive. My suggestion would be for a story like this, have fun with it. Don't be scared to get creative or try something different. For example, you could have simulated a "drunk walk" with your camera (a shaky camera shot while you are walking) and write to it. Using different techniques can help make your storytelling come alive and keep the viewer engaged!
