Place Name: First Place Contestant Name: West Texas A&M Entry Title: The new KWTS Entry Credit: Carson Bradley Judge Comment: I thought this was well done. I really liked the intro, I thought it was well-produced and engaging. One suggestion would be to keep the viewer engaged throughout the entirety of the story, would be to include more b-roll or video of the station, if there were any planning sessions, even video of the mics and the technical setup can help tell the story in a visual way.

You also did a good job explaining the problem. In the video, the cuts in your standup stuck out to me. If you want to have cuts between phrases like that, I would suggest doing a multi-part standup where you are referencing something, showing something or explaining the problem in a creative way.

Good job tackling a tougher topic. As a video element, I think it would have been really impactful to hear from the student you talked with in the print story, to hear her emotion. It would have also potentially have been interesting to walk around with a student who needs accommodations (if they are comfortable doing so) and having them walk you through what the challenges are and what is done well to add that interactive element.

As a suggestion, it is always good to get multiple interviews (at least 2) when putting PKG's together to hear from multiple sources. It would have been great to hear from other senators about their experience, or even other organizations or students on campus who have benefited from Student Government. If you wanted to dive deeper on this topic you could also include more about what Student Government has done on campus, if any initiatives have made a difference, or if there have been other issues related to student government.
